Public Wi-Fi Avoid When Online Banking Transactions

This surprising result is found by Kaspersky Lab experts based on research conducted by Harris Interactive in February-March 2012. Antivirus company has even conducted a survey of 9000 mobile device users in the United States, Europe, and Russia.
The survey indicated that about 70 percent of tablet users and 53 percent of mobile phone users to use public Wi-Fi networks to surf in cyberspace.
Using public networks become the most common way used to access the internet, in addition to mobile phone network provider. As many as 58 percent of people surveyed for data communication state using a public network.
But it seems a lot of mobile device users are not aware of the dangers of using public Wi-Fi network. One is data transferred through the various links can be easily intercepted by cybercriminals, including login data for online banking.
